Description
Working Principles:
The loss-in-weight metering control system consists of two primary closed-loop control systems:
1. Haul-off Closed-loop Control System: This regulates the haul-off speed.
2. Output Closed-loop Control System: This manages the material output.
The system operates in two working modes:
• Mode 1: The haul-off speed is calculated based on the input values for output, thickness, or meter weight, along with width and density. This mode then controls both the output and haul-off speed accordingly.
• Mode 2: The output is calculated using the input values for haul-off speed, thickness or meter weight, width, and density, subsequently controlling both the output and haul-off speed.
In either mode, the process revolves around controlling the haul-off speed and extrusion speed:
• Haul-off Speed Control: This is based on the haul-off measurement as a reference. The system
adjusts the output value to achieve the target haul-off speed.
• Extrusion Speed Control (or Output Control): This uses the weight-loss measurement as a reference. The system adjusts the extrusion screw speed to achieve the desired output setting.
These controls ensure precise coordination between haul-off speed and extrusion output, maintaining accuracy
and efficiency throughout the process.
